Makeup artist — London / Paris — Est. 2014
I'm Mireille Vaux. I paint skin like it's the subject, not the surface — for magazines, runways, film sets and the best day of somebody's life.
Cover story / Vermilion No. 401 — Point of view
My work starts with skin — texture kept, pores allowed, light placed where it belongs. Everything after that is an edit: one strong colour, one clean shape, nothing that isn't earning its place on the face.
I trained in Paris under a house artist, spent six seasons backstage, and now split my time between shoot days, weddings and teaching a small workshop twice a year. Every kit I build is vegan, fragrance-free where possible, and tested across the full depth range before it ever touches a client.

03 — The kit
Vermilion and chartreuse sit opposite each other and refuse to behave. That tension is the house signature — one shade to warm the face, one to shock it.
04 — Said about the work
“She read the collection better than half the room and painted it in twenty minutes flat.”
“I cried, danced, got rained on. The makeup did not move once.”
“Mireille is the only artist I book when the cover has to work at full bleed.”
